Bussmann whole house surge protector. Provides electrical system overvoltage protection for light commercial, residential, and UL (Underwriter's Laboratories) 508A applications. Protects against static discharge, lightning, or inductive load switching as well as additional protection for appliances, high-end electronics, security systems, and motor controls. Thermal disconnect technology eliminates the need for additional fusing. Install at the main service panel of new or existing homes. Can also be installed anywhere in the electrical system, loadside or lineside of the service entrance protective device to meet NEC installation location requirements. If installed outdoors, provide a degree of protection against rain, snow, windblown dust, splashing water, ice, and corrosion. LED (light emitting diode) light provides SPD status at a glance. Certified electrician required to install. 2-year warranty.
